Chula Vista Farmer’s market and open Air Bazaar
This one might be a little hard for couples to take advantage of, due to it’s time. However, the fact that the market takes place at an awkward time makes it even more special when couples get the chance to enjoy it. Occurring on Thursdays from 3 to 7 pm, this farmer’s market normally consist of approximately 4 produce vendors, 3 flower vendors, and 4 food stands. The market has a very street fair feel to it and has what many would consider just the right amount of people. The space feels roomy but there is enough presence to indulge people watching urges.
Directions
Located in Downtown Chula Vista at Center street and Third, there is ample meter-free parking space within this quiet community. The smell and warmth of the food is what I enjoy the most. It is usually what inspires me to figure out how to make it there on a Thursday night. Whether I choose somosas, tacos, gyro, or kettle corn, once I take the first bite, I know the trip was worth it. Watching the retired couples walking around holding hands, the reflection of their long standing, established love affair in their faces gives me a goal for the future. Watching the singles make me proud knowing I have found my soul mate. Maybe it’s all the colorful flowers and fruit but the place is really magical.
