Sometimes, on a Friday or Saturday night, we get together with our neighbors, a young couple from across the street. Recently, they bought a foosball table and from time to time, we pop in for a little competition. Other times, we play a trivia contest based on a television series we are all familiar with. (So far, by some bizarre coincidence, they have been winning). We might go to the bar down the street for a drink and a few games of pool.

Playing contest-type games with friends, where you work as a team can be a great bonding experience. Whether it’s a physical activity or testing our combined knowledge, we work on a common goal – defeating our opponents. If it so happened that there was, let’s say some tension from a prior insignificant disagreement, spending time over friendly competition with friends is one way to bring back laughter. (Another way is to engage in separate activities, but that is for another blog).
At the end of the day; it’s just nice to know you have friends you can spend some relaxing time with. Exchange ideas, get a different perspective or just have a little laugh.
