One of the many ways my friends pick on me is to make fun of the speed with which I walk.  Maybe it is a habit I have left over from the military or the fact that I am lucky enough to be excited about my destination on most occasions.  Whatever the reason, I can’t deny my gait has a bit more velocity than most people I know.
Here is a route I walk in Chula Vista when I feel especially thankful for things in my life.  Sometimes I will take this route when I want to reflect on things or connect with myself or Janka.  I timed it today because I know it is pretty long.  It took me 2 hours and 8 minutes, included in that time was me taking pictures but I do walk pretty fast.  This is a great stroll to do solo or with a partner.
It starts off in a quiet neighborhood and leads you along the north bank of the Sweetwater River.  You travel under interstate 5 and alongside the E street exit.  The second half of this walk is a bit city and you will incur a small bit of traffic as you travel along Bay and up F Street. After you make a right on Broadway and a left on G, you get back to the relaxed residential feel.
Let me know how long it takes you!
